The "Unknowns" of the Historical Marysville City Cemetery
Their causes of death for the most part vary but they all have one thing in common; when death arrived, they had no one to claim them. Within the cemetery there is a section called "Potters" or "Pauper's field. This is the final resting place of those unclaimed in death or who's families could not afford to bury them.
Here is all that is known of their stories.

Very interesting. I was looking up cemeteries around Marysville, CA and came upon this blogpost. I used to play at the old Marysville Cemetary in my teens. My sister and Inwould ride her horse over the levee and have lunch there and look at the gravestones. I absolutely don’t remember ever seeing the paupers/unknown section. Or maybe I just don’t remember. So sad.
