"This is Jared D Cooper. He was 25 when he died found on the feather river embankment. He lived in between his aunts house and his moms and sometimes he would camp out with his boyfriend for privacy, and because he wasn't comfortable with it in front of the family. Still, he would camp out behind Rio Linda Community Center because thats were his campsite was when he passed. The last time we seen him was on Sunday afternoon. He would always show up for dinner at his aunts house and on Sundays. He would always take the trash to the road for her on Monday. We were frantic to find him since he didn't show up for breakfast. Our family knew something was wrong. So my aunt went to where he camped, and ran into the boyfriend. He claims to not have seen him since Sunday night, when they had got into an altercation with each other. That was the last time he had been seen. On Tuesday they put a missing person in Sacramento. Monday his body was found on the Feather River embankment at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday his mother and aunt called the coroner to see if a body being found in Rio Linda was him, but it was not. They got a call back from Sutter County (after they found a body near Verona Village). He (the body) had been identified as Jared cooper by fingerprints and his last name is tattooed on his back. The autopsy had already been done. His mom had been told no signs of foul play we are still awaiting his toxicology screen. Investigators said he was fully clothed and no foul play to his body was done. His mom told investigators he had no business, or knew anyone in the area. He didn't have his bike with him. When the coroner released his body to the funeral home and we could view his body. His right eye was black with a cut, and he had bruising from his eyebrow. To me personally, it looked like blunt force trauma to his face. There was severe bruising on his lower abdomen it looks like he was hit with something. There was defensive bruising on his arms. He only had on long john pants when he was found. We feel the investigators lied to us."
